Callus and Corns

Hard skin, known as callous, can form due to increased pressure from prolonged standing. Corns can also form in areas that have localised pressure. If not removed, reduced or dealt with, recurring pain will be present.

Symptoms and Causes

Symptoms: 

  • Pain in a localised region of the foot/toes when standing or wearing shoes

  • Callous the foot

Causes:

  • Bony prominence 

  • Reduced fat pad
