Flat Feet

Do you have low arches or pain in your arches?

Flat feet is used to describe feet with low arches. It Is very common and can be present with or without pain.
Flat feet increases the risk of injury, pain in heels and arches.
Flat feet can also increase pressure on knees.

Symptoms or Causes

Symptoms:

  • Flat foot

  • Low or flat arch

  • Pain present around heels and/or arches 


Causes:

  • BMI

  • Tibialis posterior pathology

  • Genetics foot type

  • Internally rotated tibia

How we treat flat feet?

There are numerous treatments for Flat feet, since we tailor treatment for each individual patient it may vary from patient to patient.

  • Customized foot orthotics to help redistribute pressures across the feet.

  • Dry needling & massage will aid in improving the symptoms as well as increase range of motion. 

  • Stretching and strengthening exercises will aid to relax muscles around the foot that can contribute towards your heel and arch pain.
